One of my all time favorite HL2 mods, absolutely love it. I think the story is really cool (even if it is kind of hard to understand sometimes), I love the inspiration taken from HL1 in a few places, the guns are fun and different, the bullet-time mechanic and the new health system is really cool and the health mechanic makes sense since considering Alex is not in the best health, the settings where the game take place are interesting and the colors used look very vibrant in comparison to hl2 and it gives off a different and interesting feel, oh yeah and the music is awesome, I even started listening to it outside of playing the mod. All this being said, it definitely shows it's age. The hitboxes for the zombies are very janky and does not always hit or hits weird, a couple of the puzzles are very bad, and the spelling and grammar and voice acting are also not the greatest and you can tell it was not done by native english speakers, but it is understandable. When it is bad, you can at least find some of the aspects to be humorous.
It is very weird and that could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the person, when it is cool, it is very cool.
I played the first Slums mod so I got kind of spoiled, there is no real reason to play the first one as this includes it but makes it better. There is not any story, but it makes up for that in amazing graphics when it comes to source, I found myself taking screenshots like every two minutes because of how cool I thought some stuff looked. The enemy placement is a bit weird in some places, like it just feels a bit off sometimes, but the odd enemy placement is not too bad. The sound effect choice is great, the music choice is great, the lighting and settings are definitely the best part. If you like a little shooting mod you put some thought into but not too much, definitely give this one a try.

Really nice to finally have a stable and playable port of this stuff. The only bugs I noticed were in the street war sections of the game, where Alyx kept running head first into a disintegration field. Also that cut Kleiner death made me lol

I cannot begin to express how lovely of a mod this is, the polish, attention to detail, and just overall soul is incredible. The new factions blend right in, with proper UI, music, backgrounds, voicelines, animations, and models.

an essential DOOM mod you need to play
I downloaded this mod as part of a compilation mod on a site called Zoo Tek Phoenix. I like the mod overall, but one thing that does irk me is the changes to the sounds the various animals make. The one change that irks me the most regarding the changed sounds is the fact the Tyrannosaurus doesn't have its distinct Dino Crisis-esque roars going for it anymore.

I honestly loved this, feels like playing someone's unfiltered stream of consciousness. Gameplay is fun, visuals are lacking - but come on, it's a mod from 2006, what do you expect? I'd love to see a modern remake of this.
Very Half-Life-y gameplay and level design. Like other reviewers mentioned, it's kinda short and there are some inconsistencies there and there (SECURITY being reversed on a face of some doors, a critical scientist can be killed and you get soft-locked...)
One annoying thing: there are no auto-saves, if you die, you need to start from the beginning all over again. Not everyone has the reflex of doing manual and/or quick saves.
If you are willing to ignore those details, it's a good experience overall.
Fun little mod, although the objectives were often a little unclear. Loved the voice acting/story.

Not really sure what's going on here. A bunch of AI voices mumbled at me and spoke over each other, I ran down some corridors, then it ended.
It's nice to see someone attempt to portray Episode 3, and the new sounds and animations are impressive, but the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. Fighting a horde of enemies through a door isn't fun, neither is endlessly running down plain corridors - and I'm someone who enjoys walking simulators!
In addition, the file size is way too big, impossible to justify with the length of the mod. Overall, with some polish this could be fun, but at the moment it's hard to recommend.
